Five more years for Fubilan Catering Services, OTML

Ok Tedi Mining Limited (OTML) will extend its contract with landowner company Fubilan Catering Services (FCS) for an additional five years.

The contract extension is valued at K420 million ($159 million) and will allow FCS to continue to provide catering services OTML’s mine operations and fly-in, fly-out camp in Tabubil.

OTML managing director and chief executive officer Kedi Ilimbit said the company was excited to be extending the partnership.

“Under the new agreement, FCS is expected to deliver quality daily meals, which includes special dietary accommodations and healthy meal options, which are vital for the well-being of our workforce and the overall success of our operations,” he said.

FCS will continue to provide OTML and its business partners’ workforce with meals at the mess facility in Tabubil, and to operational areas at the mine, mill, and Ok Menga Hydro Power Station.

A subsidiary of Mineral Resources Star Mountain (MRSM), FCS has been providing its catering services to OTML since 1999 and has been recognised through several awards, including:

  • Industry Leader Health and Safety at the PNG & Australia Mining and Petroleum Investment Conference 2023
  • NASFUND’s ‘Most Compliant Employer – Account Maintenance in 2023.
