Great Pacific Gold (GPAC) has engaged the services of Tetra Tech Coffey for environmental consultancy work at its Wild Dog gold-copper project in East New Britain Province.

The two companies will work closely together as GPAC begins work at Wild Dog. Tetra Tech Coffey will undertake a site assessment and will commence onsite work once access road rehabilitation is complete.

“The engagement of Tetra Tech Coffey is an example of our commitment to environmental responsibility as a cornerstone value,” GPAC chief executive officer Bryan Slusarchuk said.

“We look forward to working closely with all stakeholders in East New Britain Province, the MRA and CEPA as we advance at Wild Dog.”

Tetra Tech Coffey is a consultancy firm that has been delivering projects in PNG for over 40 years. The company’s environmental and social management assessment group is experienced in permitting, environmental approach documents, strategy and planning, and impact assessment among other things.

The work program submitted, reviewed and approved by the MRA details plans for the first ever modern, systematic testing of Wild Dog.

In addition to the benefits GPAC expects to see when starting exploration, the work also commits all parties to other stakeholder benefits related to the environment, and much-needed road rehabilitation that will benefit local communities while also providing the Landowners Association potential for equity participation should Wild Dog advance into production.
