Kramer Asia Pacific’s 100 per cent reacquisition marks a new era of growth, local pride, regional strength and innovation.
Kramer Asia Pacific (KAPAC) – formerly Kramer Ausenco – has successfully reacquired the 50 per cent equity previously held by Ausenco through a positive and mutually agreed transition, restoring full family ownership.
This reinforces Kramer’s legacy as a leading independent Pacific-owned infrastructure and consulting firm, while propelling its expansion into the broader Asia-Pacific (APAC) engineering and project management sectors.
This goal is to strengthen its regional presence as the company nears 50 years in operation.
A new chapter in Kramer’s legacy for all
On December 18, 2024, Kramer Asia Pacific took a decisive step towards shaping its future by regaining full independence.
With the company approaching its 50th anniversary in 2028, this reacquisition marks a new era of autonomy, commercial evolution and strategic growth.
KAPAC’s commitment to the Pacific region is stronger than ever, as it continues to deliver exceptional, tailored solutions while expanding its footprint into new markets.
Empowering local expertise
The return to full family ownership underscores Kramer’s dedication to championing local PNG and Pacific expertise, proudly challenging the stereotype that Pacific companies are secondary to international providers.
By leveraging deep regional knowledge and world-class technical expertise, KAPAC is poised to become a Tier 1 professional services provider in the engineering and infrastructure sectors right across Asia Pacific.
Vision for the future
“Reclaiming full ownership is more than a milestone; it’s about securing both our legacy and our future. This moment defines not only our business but also the communities we serve,” KAPAC managing director Adam Kramer said.
Moving forward, KAPAC is focused on strengthening its design, engineering, project management and advisory capabilities, ensuring it can swiftly respond to the evolving needs of clients right across the Asia Pacific region.
“I built this business on a strong foundation of innovation and pride in our PNG roots, all while demonstrating thought leadership across the industry in the Asia-Pacific and beyond,” KAPAC founder and executive chairperson Frank Kramer said.
“As I pass this legacy onto my sons and family, I look forward to seeing where they will take the business in the next 50 years.”
The company aims to forge new partnerships and deepen existing ones, driving sustainable growth and progress.
“Our leadership transition is crucial for securing long-term stability and enhancing our capacity to deliver industry-leading expertise,” KAPAC director Michael Kramer said.
