Mayur Resources has inked an exclusive, long-term strategic alliance with a privately owned quicklime and limestone supplier.
The agreement launches Mayur-branded lime products into the Australian and Pacific markets and will supplement Mayur’s future PNG-based quicklime production.
“This strategic alliance enables Mayur to offer its customers immediate access to a more diversified product range, with Mayur’s premium and premium+ grade quicklime products, while providing the assurance of a long-term, secure, and reliable supply once Mayur’s CLP [Central Lime Project] is in production,” the company said.
“The alliance further aligns with Mayur’s strategy to expand its market presence across the Asia-Pacific region and demonstrates its commitment to providing the highest quality products and services.”
The agreement is set to unlock and leverage Mayur’s partner production capacity which currently sits at a total of two million tonnes per annum.
“With early access to Mayur premium+ grade quicklime, additional sales through this strategic alliance will supplement other early cashflow revenue initiatives from Mayur’s PNG limestone and aggregate sales, to be transported through Mayur’s international wharf facilities,” the company said.
Mayur will lead the branding, marketing, sales and distribution of its quicklime across Australia and the Pacific, positioning the company as a leader in providing high-quality quicklime.
Once operational, the CLP will initially bring an additional 400,000 tonnes per annum of quicklime supply online, with plans in place to expand the project beyond two kilns.
