K92 Mining is on track to meet its full year production guidance, after strong mining and processing output over the third quarter.
The company produced 44,323 ounces of gold equivalent over the three months to September 30, including 42,244 ounces of gold, 671 tonnes of copper, and 34,831 ounces of silver.
These outputs were delivered from 137,172 tonnes of ore processed, 31 per cent more than was processed in the same quarter of 2024. The output represented a head grade of 11.2 grams per tonne gold equivalent.
The underground mining activity took place across 13 different levels and resulted in a total of 152,485 tonnes of ore being mined for the quarter. That is the second highest result on record for K92 Mining’s Kainantu mine.
K92 chief executive officer and director John Lewins said the company had.a full-year production guidance of 160,000 to 185,000 ounces of gold equivalent, and was on track to achieve that benchmark in the last quarter.
“Having already delivered 80% of the lower end of our annual guidance within the first three quarters plus a commissioning stockpile at the end of Q3, we are well-positioned to achieve our 2025 production guidance,” he said.
K92 Mining also made significant progress on its stage 3 expansion project during the September quarter.
The construction of a new 1.2 million tonnes per annum processing plant was completed, all within its capital expenditure budget. Crushing, grinding and flotations circuits were also commissioned with a first gold pour on track for early in the fourth quarter,
Major construction contracts were signed for a planned pastefill plant, and detailed engineering and design for a surface tailings filtration plant were also delivered during the quarter.
“This marks an exciting period in the company’s history as K92 transitions into a Tier-one mid-tier producer,” Lewins said.
“We are also very pleased with the significant advancement we have made across a multitude of projects, de-risking the delivery of the Stage 3 expansion and positioning the underground mine for Stage 4 and beyond.”
