Pacific Lime and Cement has reported construction of its flagship Central Lime project in Papua New Guinea is progressing in line with schedule and targets.
The company’s latest update confirms sustained momentum across key work streams during November and December 2025, with progress tracking as planned.
Site preparation and earthworks have advanced significantly, including drainage and platform formation that supports access to critical work fronts.
Foundation preparation for the lime kiln has progressed, with geotechnical investigations completed and designs issued for reinforcing steel procurement.
The report highlights material progress on the 27.6 km access road to Port Moresby, with culvert installations under way and bridge components secured for upcoming river crossings.
At the project’s wharf, Phase 3 has moved into procurement as design work reaches substantial completion, and the port remains operational throughout construction.
Heavy machinery mobilisation has accelerated, with assembly of 30-tonne and 150-tonne cranes supporting piling, batch plant construction, and foundation activities. On-site camp, workshop, and supporting infrastructure are also advancing as the workforce expands.
“We continue to make excellent progress at the Central Lime Project, with several key workstreams now moving into their final stages. The kiln precinct is taking shape alongside substantial progress on the wharf, access road, and site infrastructure as we consistently meet our milestones for the project,” Pacific Lime managing director Paul Mulder said.
“The consistency of execution across the site reinforces our confidence in the schedule as we focus on the goal of being ready for commissioning and first production on budget and on time.”
The company remains on track to deliver first production within its planned 18-month development window which runs to early 2027.
