The 2025 Petroleum and Energy Conference (PEC), taking place in Port Moresby over October 8 and 9, promises to be a key event for the resources industry across Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Endorsed by the national government, and supported by Kumul Petroluem Holdings, PEC provides a vital platform for high-level dialogue in the petroleum and energy sectors. This year’s theme, “The next 50”, honours the significant milestone of PNG’s golden jubilee of independence, while looking ahead to future growth and development across the country.,
The program is designed to look forward, focusing on how petroleum and energy can drive growth, innovation, and sustainable development over the coming half century and beyond.
Headlining the impressive speaker list will be Prime Minister James Marape, energy minister Jimmy Maladina, and energy minister Peter Isoaimo. They’ll be joined by representatives of the some of biggest resources industry players in the world, including Shell Global, Chevron, Deloitte, and Total Energies.
Local stakeholders such as the Bank of PNG and Kumul Minerals will also provide further perspective on how PNG’s industry is impacting and being challenged by global trends.
PEC 2025 provides the forum to generate further investment and action in energy production and distribution in PNG. Don’t miss your chance to connect, collaborate, and be part of PNG’s energy future.
